So Very Close!
This is so much fun! In between completing customer orders we are continuing the work on the first Jackson Tribute character. The quality mechanics have been completed! This character includes moving mouth, self-centering eyes, individual winkers, raising eyebrows, and wiggling ears! The Jackson Tribute characters feature extremely close tolerances, you will notice this on the mouth slots, almost invisible! The wig pictured is not necessarily the one we are going to use, just what I had in stock. What would you like to see for hair on this fellow? Next, paint and headstick!

Work Continues
What a fun day! Nothing like working on a new head design. Today I installed leather winkers, we typically install shell winkers in our heads, but with the Jackson Tribute series we are offering leather winkers, just as Chuck Jackson did. The head pictured will have winkers, raising eyebrows and wiggling ears! Fun!

Jackson Tribute Characters On Their Way!
Great news! We are close to completing the first in the Jackson Tribute series characters. These characters are first carved out of wood, then cast out of a woodlike material to keep the quality of a wood character.
Many hours are spent in creating the molds. The head casting is only as good as the mold is. To begin, we take the wood head, build the clay bed and start to pour on the mold material. The next step is to create the mother mold, the mother mold is simply a shell to keep the mold rubber in its original shape.
The mouth mold is completed! As you can see from the photos, the first mouth has been cast out of the mold! The mouth on the right is the original, while the mouth on the left is the cast mouth. Identical! This is very crucial for everything to fit together and work well.
Keep watching these pages for updates on these extremely unique and high quality characters!
